The Hand
This is a drawing of a mechanical hand wrapped with vines. I created it to represent artificial life and nature coexisting as one. The wild vines surrounding the mechanical hand add life to it, and the hand provides stability and a structured area for the plant to grow. The image was sketched in pencil, then sketched over in black ink. (India ink on paper; 14x18 inches, framed) |

The Clow Book This is a project I did for friend looking to better organize her collection of CDs for a show called, "CardCaptor Sakura". In the show, the character Sakura has a set of Clow Cards that are kept in a "Clow Book". I decided to use that to help create the design. I found a small burgendy colored book that I began to cut a square shape to house the CDs. Once the hole was a decent size and depth, I glued the inside to keep it together, so that the book became a container instead of a reading material. After that, I printed images to decorate the first few pages and added a numbered index of the episodes. I then placed another image of the main character, Sakura, to cover the area that was cut out. In order to keep the CDs from easily falling out, I glued a latch (similar to that of the "Clow Book").
